Two Greenwood men were arrested Thursday afternoon and face gun and possession charges following reports of a burglary.
De'Shawnchez Day, 20, of 303 Siloam Church Road, and Sir Gerald Keith Day, 17, 307 McKellar Court, were each charged with possession of a stolen pistol, unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of stolen property in connection with the incident.
Greenwood County deputies responded to a break-in on McKellar Drive and neighbors reported seeing a Ford Crown Victoria with chrome rims near the scene at the time of the burglary.
According to a Greenwood County incident report, deputies patrolled the area looking for the vehicle and tracked a car that fit its description at a Li'l Cricket gas station on Bypass 72. Officers questioned the two suspects, who were in the vehicle, and the driver told officers there were two guns in the car.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found a .380-caliber Ruger handgun and a .40-caliber Smith and Wesson pistol inside, both of which were found to be stolen. Officers also found several items in the trunk of the car connected to the burglary on McKellar Drive, including three wristwatches, and a necklace charm.
