A Greenwood teen faces multiple charges after being arrested Wednesday in reference to a September robbery at a Mathews Mill Village home.
Shyheem Hall, 18, of 821 Grendel Ave., was charged with two counts each of attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with the Sept. 23 incident.
Two gunmen entered the victim's home along Grier Street and a struggle ensued, leading to a single gunshot being fired. Hall became the second suspect arrested in connection with the alleged break-in. Dalvin Parker, 18, of Bradley, was arrested in October and booked on charges of attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
According to a Greenwood police report:
Parker came to visit the home while the other suspect waited outside. Once inside, Parker attempted to rob the victim, and at some point, the second suspect entered the home and pointed a handgun at the victim's girlfriend and her two children.
At some point during the struggle, one of the suspects fired a single shot at the victim and the two suspects stole $200 in cash from the victim's wallet. The suspects fled into a wooded path, escaping a short chase from the victim and one of his neighbors.
