Those who know Amaryllis Holloway-Turman describe the business professional as lively and energetic.
Recently, Holloway-Turman was named the 2013 Go Girl Award recipient during a Women’s Leadership Council Women of Excellence Awards luncheon, and she also was named winner of the 2013 Chairman’s Circle Award at the Greenwood Chamber’s annual meeting this past Friday night.
The Go Girl Award is an impromptu honor bestowed by the Women’s Leadership Council at the group’s annual awards luncheon. Honorees are selected by the previous year’s winner. The Women’s Leadership Council is an initiative of Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, promoting professional development and networking.
Holloway-Turman was presented the WLC award by Lander University Old Main Catering director Nancy Goplerud.
Goplerud said she chose Holloway-Turman for the Go Girl Award because “Amaryllis is always full of energy and that energy is contagious.”
Goplerud describes Holloway-Turman as “fearless, funny and adventurous,” and as a person who strives to fill every minute with “meaning and purpose.”
Angelle LaBorde, Greenwood Chamber president and chief executive officer, said this award tradition dates back four years and was started by Greenwood’s only female inductee in the Greenwood County Hall of Fame, Linda Dolny.
